Nestled in the charming village of Linkebeek, on the picturesque outskirts of Brussels (Belgium), the Castel Sainte-Cécile is a home with a soul, history, and an undeniable touch of elegance.
While the name Cécile refers to the patron saint of Linkebeek, the name “Castel” might evoke images of grand fortresses… but this residence is more of a quaint country house with an old-world charm that has been preserved throughout the years.
Linkebeek itself is a haven for artists and creatives, having inspired numerous painters and sculptors with its serene landscapes and enchanting ambiance.
The house holds a particular connection to Audrey Hepburn, the iconic actress, humanitarian, and style legend. This home, with its tranquil gardens and timeless architecture, played a key role in the early years of the woman who would go on to captivate the world with her grace, intelligence, and compassion. Thoughtfully extended over time, the house still retains most of its original architectural details and extensive garden, regularly mentioned by Audrey Hepburn in various interviews.
